| It strikes me that the last Brazilian publications about the breed appeared at the end of the seventies / beginning of the eighties of the last century. It was the period of the mixbreeders fighting against the purist and vice versa. Dr. Paulo Santos Cruz and the CAFIB represented the defenders of the authentic breed, Prof. Dr. Procopio do Valle supported - apart from his valuable research about history - various mixbreeding products. Since those roaring times not even one book has been released. It has come to my knowledge that at least three Brazilian manuscripts, ready for producing for a long time, are not released yet and I regret it very much that the Fila lovers are devoid of that information due to lack of interest of editors or lack of money for a private edition. |
